Metal Gear Solid, the first Metal Gear I have tried in the collection, but I got to try the best. This is one of my favorite Playstation Games so far that I've played. The Game is unbelievable done, with the a great plot that keeps you wanting for more. In this Metal Gear adventure you face the evil Foxhound who you must try to stop from launching a missile attack using the Metal Gear. The Game has well done voices unlike its clone Syphon Filter. The Game is packaged on 2 CD's which isn't bad considering the game took over 3 years to make. Konami did quite a number on this one.

The Voices are done extremely well. The music works well with the plot, so when something bad happens for example Meryl getting shot, the music turns to slow , relaxing music. The game only takes 1 Memory block.The game at one point even lets you chose the ending you want. The player can choose to either give in to tortures, at which Meryl, the girl who Snake falls in love with in the game dies, or the player can choose to continue to fight the tortures and have Meryl survive, both choices leave different ending to the game. The Loading times are quick , no waiting 30 seconds or more for a new scene to start. Neat weapons like bombs you can place and blow up from a distance. You can spy on Guards with your Gadget Scope, just hide behind something or go under something , take out your scope and zoom in.

The Camera angle overtop makes it hard to see what's infront. The first person view could also be better if you were allowed to walk around while doing it rather then just being able to look around. Some of the Movies are 5+ minutes long and you get pretty tired of watching them. Not being able to pick guys off from a far distance, only in certain parts of the game , like when you face Sniper Wolf, or 1 part of the game I remember where you have to pick 3 guys off , but that's it. In most games of this caliper you wold think there would be more situations.

This is defenetly one of the best video games I have ever tried. The game is done like a action packed movie and leaves you wanting for more. This should defenetly be #1 on a person's ' to get list ' if you haven't gotten it yet. Hopefully Konami will be coming out with a sequel to this 4 part game already, I just ain't sure if people can wait another 2 or 3 years yet before someone else creates a game that takes the attention away.
