Dragon Worrier (or Dragon Quest in Japan) is one of the earliest RPGs on the NES system. It is also one of the first non-liner games. You have several goals to accomplish that are told to you soon after you begin the game. Basically you have to rescue a princess, kill the dragon (or several dragons), assemble a bridge, and to top it off defeat the dark wizard. Each of these quests have several sub quests. This game has allot of fighting in it with the usual random battle fair.

The world view with you, 2 castles and a town

Oh no! A battle with a red Slime

The graphics are not the best but this is NES. The battle system is turn based but I never remember getting bored. The spells are gained by leveling up. At certain levels you get a new spell. The spells are very useful and can get you out of tight situations. The game can get a little frustrating when you don't know what to do but keep it up and you will find your way. This game I have beat so if you need help I would be happy to do so. My e-mail is at the bottom of the screen (*whisper* click on the name). All in all this is a good game and I recommend it to anyone that likes the old school RPGs.
