- Basic Game Info -In 1997, developer Rare, known for it's Donkey Kong Country Series as well as being an original and great developer, released it's killer First Person Shooter, Goldeneye 007. This game, prooved to the world once and for all that Rare reigns supreme. Even though released way back then, this game still is the best First Person Shooter on the N64. It has a great single player mode with a great plot. Multiplayer is the best for any sysem as well. This game is a great and is sure to become a classic. - Highs -The good shines through on this awsome N64 game. The graphics are great. The textures of each level are different... and fog is used only for that, not to hide the flaws in graphics and bad pixles. The guns will shine in the sun and you can see the light reflecting of glass. The sound is very good as well. Each gun has a different sound to each shot. Multiplayer is the best part of all. From two to four players you can run around in a death match. As well as being able to add other options to multi player such as one shot and your dead, flag tag, or the man with the golden gun. The more friends the merrier in this excellent multiplayer game. All in all this game is great. - Lows -There is not very much wrong with this game. Framerate does suffer once in a while, but most games do. It could be better but in Rare's next first person shooter it is sure to be improved. Talking would of also been better. Thats about it. It is an incredibly good game. - Overall -This is the best video game in it's class. I love it, and if you've never played it before and like great gameplay and awsome multiplayer I suggest renting it now. You wont be sorry but only do it if you have enough money to buy it because you will definately want to. |
